((I realized I never wrote a leaving RP story for Ael, so I thought it was about time I did. Only this is a "what happened since" kind of RP. Hope you enjoy! :-)))

A group of soldiers huddled together in the Blue Recluse, their tabards sporting the colors of the Twilight Empire, "Wait, what are you talking about, Kingly?" asked one of the soldiers to another. The one named Kingly was a gruff looking man, his beard speckled with grey hairs. He sighed, "I'm talking about Moora. You know, the guy who started the Vanguard!" The man who asked the question looked confused, "Wait, I thought it was Ratchet or Spracket or watcha call em that started the Vanguard..."

Kingly sighed again, clearly getting annoyed with this young soldier. "No, no, no. Spracket founded the Royal Guard... I think... well, point being, Aelonn was the one who founded the Vanguard. So anyways, as I was sayin'... Aelonn Moora... formerly Captain Aelonn Moora, the second he got citizenship he joined the Army. From then on he worked his way up. Eventually he started working with Senator Ami. Of course the Senator wasn’t a Senator back then, she was an Officer herself. The two of them worked together to restructure the military, and Aelonn eventually founded the Vanguard. Keep in mind this was all in the time of Aerana.” Kingly paused for a moment, remembering the Empress he had met when he first came to the Empire, “Anyways… So Aelonn starts gathering a group to form a crack offensive force, the Vanguard, and it’s going good and all until he just up and leaves. He steps down as Captain, turns in his tabard and leaves.”

The men look puzzled, “Why would he leave if he’s got such a good thing going as Captain?” one of them asks. Kingly smiles and replies, “That’s where it gets interesting… Lots of theories floating around… Some say he was power hungry and left to build an army, some say he was stricken with grief over a loved one or somethin’, Others say it had to do with Aerana’s departure. Me? I don’t know about any of those. I knew the man, he certainly wasn’t power hungry, and as for a lost love one? Ha! Aelonn may have had some relationships of the fleshy kind if you know what I mean, but he was too damn cold for love. He was a soldier through and through. Now, as for it having to do with Aerana… I think not, His loyalty was to the Empire first, not the person in charge. Don’t get me wrong, he had a lot of respect for her and a hell of a lot of loyalty, but he knew his place was with the Empire.”

Kingly took a sip from his flagon before continuing, clearly loving the attention he was receiving from this tale, “So, after he leaves, he isn’t heard from for months…” One of the men listening interrupts, “Where did he go?” Kingly grins again, “Ah, I was about to get to that. So, he leaves, heads north apparently, kinda stays off the map for a while, but then some people see him in Aerie Peak. Apparently he had worked with Falstad Wildhammer, the High Thane of the Wildhammer Dwarves, and because of this Falstad allowed him to live there with them… Hold on boys, my flagon’s empty… let’s take a quick break, eh?”

((More to come soon!))

((Thought you would like that Aer :P))

Kingly sat back down, his cup once more filled to the brim with an amber brew, “Right, now where was I?”
“You were saying he was at Aerie Peak!” piped up one of the soldiers. Kingly nodded as he took a careful sip of his mead. “Right, right, so Aelonn is up in Aerie Peak, and pretty soon he’s seen leaving with groups of dwarves. Usually five or six or so of ‘em. So they leave and head out into the mountains and start bringing back carts full of ore. They keep doing this, even heading to Northrend to get the cobalt from up there. They do this for a month or so, gathering huge stores of it, bringing it back to Aerie Peak.”

Kingly paused and took another sip before continuing, “At the same time the Dwarves start sending out a couple of representatives to trade in Ironforge and Stormwind, they start buying up lots of runes, cloth, weaves, leather, and strangest of all… they purchased about 200 horses.” One of the soldiers interrupted, “Why did the dwarves buy all that stuff? They don’t ride horses do they?” Kingly grinned again, enjoying all the attention. “Good question, it turns out Aelonn had saved up quite the fortune. When the Imperial officials cleaned out his vault after he left they found hardly anything, a ring was the only thing of value still in there. But what they did discover is that he had removed over 50,000 gold before he left… So, my guess is he had them go buy that stuff for him.”

By now, Kingly had attracted even more listeners. He continued, “So he keeps on gathering supplies… but nothing ever comes out of Aerie peak, no ore, no armor, no finished products, nothing. Just stuff coming in. Suddenly though, after months of gathering things, he leaves… he heads south. He stops at Southshore, then moves east to Stromgarde and Refuge Pointe. He keeps moving south, stopping at Menethil Harbor, Thelsamar, Ironforge, Kharanos, and finally he gets to Stormwind. He starts recruiting people. He issues a call to all “true sons and daughters of Arathor” to join him. Turns out he was trying to rid the region of “Those who prostitute the land” Meaning the Trolls and Forsaken, and anyone else who had taken the land. So, he keeps this up, visiting all the major towns of Stormwind and eventually heads back north.” Kingly looks at his flagon, which is once more empty and gets up, “Sorry lads, gotta take another break.”

Kingly makes his way from the table back to the bar, after all he can't tell a story if he doesn't have something to wet his tongue with. When he returned the men were completely silent, waiting for the rest of the tale. Kingly obliged, "Well, as I was sayin'.... He heads back north to Aerie Peak, this time with some followers. And this where it stops... nothings happened since, its strictly rumors and such from this point on. Most likely he's either waiting on more soldiers to arrive or he's still planning something, figure it's just a matter of time before something happens... something big. My opinion is he's not done planning yet, he was always very methodical about everything he did, I'm sure he's workin' away up there. He wouldn't never be caught just waiting around."

With that Kingly rose from his seat, "Well, that''s enough for one night, boys." A look of disappointment swept over the faces of his audience. "What? That's it?!" piped up one of the soldiers who had been listening. Kingly grinned, "Aye, for tonight, that's all. Maybe next week I'll have more for ya." The soldiers resigned themselves to murmuring in small groups about the story as Kingly exited the Blue Recluse. As he stepped out into the night he was greeted by a hooded man. The man's armor was audible as he moved, but his face remained hidden. he handed Kingly a small sack that jingled as it exchanged hands. Coins. The man spoke, it was a familiar voice, "Good work, old friend." Kingly pocketed the bag and walked down the street, "My pleasure.... Cap'n." He began to whistle as he rounded the corner, The man smirked.... "Not a Captain anymore...."
